Problem Note 61690: Import and export macros for SAS® Business Rules Manager give "ERROR: A character operand was found ... macro ... will stop executing ..."
When running import or export macros in SAS Business Rules Manager, the following message might be displayed in the log:
ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition where a numeric operand is required. The condition was:
(@&SERVERNM@ eq @@)
ERROR: The macro DCM_CALL_REST_SERVICE will stop executing.
NOTE: Fileref RESP has been deassigned.
The problem occurs if these three conditions are true:
* You are running one of these macros.
- %DCM_IMPORT_RULESET
- %DCM_IMPORT_LOOKUP
- %DCM_EXPORT_RULESET
- %DCM_EXPORT_LOOKUP
- %DCM_GET_TOKEN
* You specify the SERVERNM= server name parameter.
* The server name contains a minus (-) sign. Example: rlatest-edm.domain.com.
To work around this issue, specify the IP address of the server, or create a DNS alias that does not include a minus sign.
